I didn't expect this in Czechia (Czech Republic)

Dear Andre,

Last week, I found myself on the back porch of a quiet home in the Czech Republic, drinking coffee with a guy named Brian Bothwell.

His daughter (after holding bunnies for a bit) asked for a shoulder ride, so I hoisted her up. We walked together with one daughter on my shoulders and one on his, and Brian just smiled.

I don’t think he knew it, but that moment was the clincher.

Ten years ago, Brian left his life as a studio musician in LA to follow a call: share the Gospel through music with students across Central Europe. He joined a tour called EXIT, and he hasn’t looked back.

Since then, he’s helped bring the message of Jesus to tens of thousands of students in Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, and Ukraine.

But here’s what broke my heart.

There’s no infrastructure for original worship in Czech.
Most worship leaders are unpaid volunteers.
And the next generation doesn’t connect to old translations of American songs.

Can you imagine your church worshiping only in English songs written before the iPhone came out?

That’s what they’re facing.

But now something new is beginning.

Brian and his team are building a recording studio—a creative hub for original Czech worship.

It’s called Worship.Ko. And it’s more than a studio. It’s the birthplace of a new movement.

The plan:
🎵 Release 10+ original Czech worship songs every year
🛠️ Equip local worship leaders to write, record, and lead boldly
🌍 Reach the next generation across 10.86 million people

So far, they’ve raised $30,000.
The full build will take $100,000.

And the best part? Builders are donating labor. Materials cost half the usual price. Every dollar goes twice as far.

When I sat with Brian on that porch, and his daughter laughed on my shoulders, I felt it:

They’re not just building a room.
They’re building the soundtrack of a spiritual revival.
